Bridgemans to Partner with Haisla in Workforce Accommodations
Bridgemans wishes to announce that it has entered an agreement with the Council of the Haisla First Nation that will enable the company to work with representatives of Haisla Business Operations to offer floatel accommodations solutions in the Kitimat region.
The terms of the agreement, which Bridgemans hopes can be a template for future partnerships with First Nations communities, will help to stimulate growth opportunities in the community and provide employment for its members.
“As a partnership group, we have quite a long history of successfully doing business with First Nations communities and providing local people with good-paying job opportunities,” said Brian Grange, president of Bridgemans. “This partnership is a good example, and one that I hope we can replicate with other coastal First Nations communities.”
Bridgemans also announced today that the company has been awarded a contract to provide its floatel services in Kitimat for 450 employees of Bechtel, a global leader in engineering, construction and project management, to complete the modernization of a smelter owned by miner and metal producer Rio Tinto Alcan.
Bridgemans specializes in providing premium-level accommodations, catering, logistics and crew transfers for industrial workforces in remote regions throughout the world.
