Marine Construction
Bridgemans Marine Construction division is the perfect solution for turnkey, on-time and on-budget construction projects on the water, in Canada and markets around the world. We leverage our marine knowledge, crews, vessels, and other assets to support our marine construction clients, and ensure projects are done efficiently and to the highest technical, safety and sustainability standards.
In our role as prime contractor, we ensure that all work – whether by Bridgemans or the professional subcontractors that we engage and manage – is completed to the highest technical and quality standards. Our specialty is design-build, where our experience with marine installations has reduced project capital costs while improving schedule in a safe and environmentally focused manner. Our marine projects include demolition, new construction, support vessel services, and laydown provisions, both marine and land-based.
Marine Infrastructure
Bridgemans Marine Construction division builds infrastructure such as docks, berths and breakwaters for floatel clients and others who engage Bridgemans Construction for stand-alone projects. Bridgemans acts as prime contractor and works through joint ventures such as the Bridgemans Kitamaat Joint Venture, a Haisla Nation partnership, to secure engineering, procurement and construction contracts and complete design-build projects such as docks, berths, breakwaters and more.
Permitting & Engineering
Bridgemans engineers utilize years of experience working in remote marine locations to develop mooring plans and design anchoring systems, access ramps and gangways.
Working closely with our clients’ project managers, we ensure secure placement of our floatels, as well as safe and reliable movement of occupants on and off the vessel.

LNG Project Tug Berth
A $40-billion liquified natural gas project on Canada’s west coast required new berths to host its electric and low-emissions escort tugs and harbour tugs. The project owner, a global oil and gas company, is committed to creating local jobs in Kitimat, providing skills training, and supporting First Nations communities. The project owner selected Bridgemans Kitimaat Joint Venture, a Haisla Nation partnership, to be its EPC partner. We offered the people, vessels and resources to construct concrete docks, a floating breakwater, gangways and more in a timely manner, in an area of the world known for inclement weather.
