Vancouver, BC, Canada, March 27, 2024 – Bridgemans Services Group (Bridgemans), the world’s premier provider of floatel and related marine services, has acquired MV Diamond XI, a 150-cabin passenger ship that is being converted to Bridgemans sixth floatel for workforces in the LNG, mining, and renewable energy sectors.

In addition to spacious cabins, MV Diamond XI currently offers a newly renovated dining room, 200-seat auditorium, fitness facilities and offices with 45 workstations. In addition, Bridgemans can customize the 124-metre MV Diamond XI to client specifications and deliver it for floatel service anywhere in the world, as early as this summer.

MV Diamond XI is a beautiful ship that perfectly suits resource and other projects requiring premium accommodation space for up to 350 beds, catering, entertainment and more,” said Brian Grange, President, Bridgemans. “Bridgemans has looked to acquire a floatel sized to support projects in their earliest stages or to supplement accommodation at peak workforce due to strong interest from project proponents. MV Diamond XI fulfills those needs and does so with comfort, practicality and safety.”

MV Diamond XI joins the 652-cabin MV Isabelle X and the 635-cabin MV Saga in the Bridgemans floatel fleet. Bridgemans also has a growing fleet of floatel support vessels and experienced crews for tasks such as personnel and cargo transfers, survey and standby, tugs and towing, oil spill response, and search and rescue.

MV Diamond XI is currently located in Europe, where the vessel is undergoing a refit including the addition of a Grab & Go area, a refresh to common areas, the addition of workspaces and meeting rooms, and the installation of a boat landing for crew and cargo transfers. This refit is intended to appeal to all project proponents while allowing further refit work to be customized to specific client requirements.

“At Bridgemans, we can customize our floatel and marine services to precise client specifications and – as a company that has completed 15 projects in North America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Caribbean – local climate, culture and regulatory conditions,” added Mr. Grange.
