Vancouver, BC, Canada, January 3, 2024 – Bridgemans Services Group (Bridgemans) is excited to announce MV Isabelle has arrived in Burrard Inlet after a 40-day, 22,563-kilometre journey from Estonia and through the Panama Canal.

MV Isabelle is a 652-cabin luxury floatel that – after a European refit in 2023 – offers the latest in safe, secure and sustainable workforce accommodation. In the coming days, MV Isabelle will move to Seaspan’s North Vancouver shipyard facility to put the finishing touches on the vessel, including lockers, games tables, and equipment for the 8,000-square-foot onboard fitness facility.

“We are thrilled to showcase MV Isabelle to our neighbors in Vancouver and along the Sea-to-Sky corridor,” said Brian Grange, president of Bridgemans. “We have been providing floatels to resource and cleantech workforces for 10 years in Canada and around the world. MV Isabelle represents a generational leap in environmental innovation and a Made-in-Canada approach that we hope to bring to more of our large workforce accommodation projects in future.”

MV Isabelle will offer a wide array of advanced environmental systems including an ultraviolet water purification system, the ability to run on shore hydro power, industrial-sized heat pumps, and sewage treatment that includes ultrafiltration and shipping to a waste management facility in BC. In addition, Bridgemans is designing MV Isabelle to eliminate waste and recycle as much as possible.

Woodfibre LNG has selected MV Isabelle to house its project construction workforce in Howe Sound, beginning spring 2024. Woodfibre LNG, designed to be the world’s first net zero LNG export facility, chose Bridgemans for its commitment to sustainability and ability to deliver turnkey, safe and secure live-work offshore accommodation for more than 600 workers at the site.
