Local Hiring Initiatives

Bridgemans is committed to working with local Indigenous Communities to create strong partnerships that deliver services to mutual clients, bring jobs and resources into the community, and provide training and new work skills.

We are proud to have long standing partnerships with local Indigenous Communities, training and sponsoring endorsements for First Nations crew including captains up to 500T license.

Our goal is to support and foster long-term partnerships, and to give back more than we take.

Bridgemans Kitamaat Joint Venture

In 2018, Bridgemans Marine Transport (a division of Bridgemans Services Group)  entered a joint venture agreement with the Haisla First Nation, providing marine transportation solutions and support services in the Douglas Channel and Kitimat regions of British Columbia, Canada.

The Bridgemans Kitamaat Joint Venture has helped to stimulate growth opportunities in the community and provides specific marine based employment for its members for decades to come.

Bridgemans is extremely proud to be a partner of Nch’kay Development Corporation. We recognize the importance of cultivating meaningful relationships based on a spirit of friendship, and focus upon mutually assured benefits within the spheres of economic development, job creation, skills development and environmental sustainability.

Our goal is to support and add value to the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) community through job creation, training and by ensuring local partners have sustainable skills to compete today and lead tomorrow.

Gingolx and Bridgemans remain committed to a shared vision rooted in our history and long-standing relationship. Together, we have partnered to support floatel and marine-based opportunities in the Nass Valley and across Nisga’a Territory.
